Musky octopus

 

"Moscardin" is a type of mollusc that is typical of the sea around Caorle. It is fished all year round with ‘short haul’ drag-nets and smaller equipment. This fishing technique aims to cause less stress and give more quality and softness to the product. The "Moscardin" is best appreciated boiled and is considered a speciality of Caorle cuisine.
